Deputy Commissioner Arwa Rajkamal said that the budget for the first 80 lakhs was built for the restoration of Pillai Hall, but due to its lack of beauty, this budget has been increased to two crore and 15 lakhs. Mukund Rungta, director, industrialist and social worker, SR Rungta Group said that the renovation of Pillai Hall will be completed in 8 to 9 months. Twenty million and 15 million budgets have been made for the budget. If a little too much will be seen then the SR Rungta Group will not go back. Chaibasa ITI will take employment fair

The recruitment camp cum employment fair is being organized by the District Planning Department under the aegis of Labor Planning and Training Department under the aegis of the Government of Jharkhand on 24th November at the Government ITI campus. Birsa Jayanti

Birsa Munda, freedom fighter in British era, is remembered for bringing a tribal revolution in India. He belonged to the Munda tribe, most common in Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and parts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Madhya Pradesh. The group is one of India’s largest scheduled tribes. Birsa Munda was born on November 15, 1875 and his birthday is celebrated as Birsa Munda Jayanti. 

Friendship Cricket Match of teachers in Chaibasa on 15th

On 15th November, a Friendship Cricket match has been organized between teachers of primary vs. middle and middle school teachers of West Bank in Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium ground on the occasion of Lord Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary and Jharkhand State Foundation Day.

To participate in the said match, the primary school teachers’ team will be selected in the Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium ground on Wednesday. It is mandatory for the participating teachers to bring their teacher identity card with them. The selection committee formed by the District Cricket Association will be selected by both teams. The players of both the selected teams will report on the Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium ground at 10 am on November 15. The District Education Officer and District Superintendent of Police will jointly inaugurate the match organized by the Department of District Education and Literacy while the Deputy Commissioner will be rewarded as a Chief Guest in the closing ceremony.

Foundation laid for projects worth Rs 428cr in Chaibasa

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday laid the foundation for various projects worth Rs 428 crore in Chaibasa, the district headquarter of mineral-rich West Singhbhum.

While Rs 380 crore would be spent on eight water projects to provide drinking water in the rural belt of the district, the remaining amount would be spent on road construction in rural areas.


Regretting that the people of Chaibasa were forced to drink unsafe water even 70 years after independence, the chief minister said he had promised to provide drinking water through pipelines in each villages of the district.

The foundation of water projects was a step in this direction, he said adding that economy of the rural pockets would improve if the infrastructure including road and electricity was improved.

Director of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Amit Kumar said the government has set a target to provide piped drinking water to all the villages of the district by 2022.

The chief minister assured to provide electricity in each villages of the state by December 2018.

The Detail Project Report of a proposed medical college in Chaibasa was ready and tender would be floated soon to ensure that the work of the 500-bed medical college-cum-hospital start in a month or two, he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation of two medical college and hospital including the one in Koderma during his visit to the state last month.

Besides, the government has also decided to establish a school in Khuntipani block of West Singhbhum district on the lines of famous Netarhat school of Latehar district.

Prior to the foundation stone laying ceremony, Das also inaugurated a “Jubilee Park” surrounding a lake, which was renovated and developed by Tata Steel for Rs 10 crore in the township.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Das hailed Tata Steels role in making a difference to the lives of people living in and around its operational areas.

Referring to the new projects, Das said a majority of them will be on water and road construction worth Rs 427.92 crore which was being spent from the District Mineral Fund.

“During my first visit to Chaibasa after becoming the chief minister of the state, I had promised the people here to change the face and fate of the township and the inauguration of the park was fulfilment of my commitment,” Das said.

Jail Break Conspiracy Case in Chaibasa

BJP District President of Scheduled Caste in Chaibasa Ramashankar Pandey, along with three other persons, has been arrested allegedly for hatching a conspiracy for executing a jailbreak to free some dreaded Maoists from Chaibasa division jail.
Police said that the three other arrested persons – Vijay Khalkho, Chamu Munda and Juel Horo were the security guards who were currently deputed in Chaibasa Division Jail.
“On a tip-off that Sandeep Soren along with other inmates lodged in the jail have been planning for a jailbreak with the help of some policemen deputed in the jail, Ramashankar Pandey and three other persons were arrested on Monday,” said Chaibasa SP Kranti Kumar Gadhdesi.
Pandey, who had been managing finances of Sandeep Soren, had already paid Rs 4 lakh to Khalko for executing jailbreak sometime during Dusshera, he added. The SP said that the other hardcore Maoists who were also to be released during the jailbreak include Rajesh Santhali, Rameshwar Kunkal, Markendeya Singh Kutia, Dev Kumar Biruli and Nalla Bhikshapati.
Though the Police had suspected the jailbreak a fortnight ago, it had been waiting for some more evidence to support the case, he added.
“There was plan to jump the prison wall taking help of ropes or by triggering a bomb blast in the court campus or on their way to the court,” said the SP.
Intensive recce inside and outside the jail, as well as the court campus, was being done by their supporters to execute their plan to free wanted Maoists, he added. During interrogation, it was disclosed that the deal was finalized in Rs 10 lakh, with an advance payment of Rs 4 lakh.
Remarkably, Sandeep Soren, Dhiren Da alias Uttam Da alias Girish Da alias Narayan Mahato, Raghunath Hembram alias Birsen alias Nirbhay ji had also escaped from the same on January 27, 2011 following a jailbreak.
Interestingly, Vijay Khlalho was also deputed there when incidents of jailbreak had taken place at Chaibasa Jail in 2011 and 2014. The SP said that the three security guards in connivance with the jailed Maoists had planned for the jailbreak.

19 kilometer bypass will be built at Chaibasa costing Rs 219 crore

With the increase in the number of vehicles in the district the common people are facing difficulties in commuting. Because of this, many such incidents like road accidents also take place. At the same time, the presence of VIP people is also very significant in the Chaibasa district, in the Kolhan Regional West. On the other hand, the government also earns a huge revenue from this district. Looking at all these cases, it is imperative to change the existing roads of the district. On Thursday(25th Sept), a meeting was held in the chairmanship of Vijay Kumar Sinha, Commissioner of Coalition. There were discussions about several roads and link roads in the meeting. In the past, survey was conducted in 2008 to build a bypass road from Udaipur road, from Chibasa Ulihatatu (HP Gas Center Road) and the road constructed by Bihar Pathari Vikas Project related to this road. To start the process of bypass in the city again, Vijay Kumar, the Commissioner of the Colony Division, prepared a strategy to make the bypass by meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Arwa Rajkamal and the NH officials. The commissioner said that bypassing 19 kilometers of cost of 219 crore, the bypass would be prepared to leave the city. Land acquisition will also be done by the administration soon. Bypassing 12 villages, this bypass will come out of the city. This will end the traffic problem in the city.
